Sometimes we just need a safe space and a companion to find it
There's beauty for the ashes in our lives
In Ancient Greek, the word ‘kairos’ refers to the moments in life when the conditions are right for a favorable action. Moments that require us to make a decision that will lead to change and growth.
Could it be that now is your kairos moment to step into healing and transformation?
About Me
Hi, I'm Michelle!
One of my greatest joys is journeying with another human and seeing them grow as they experience healing and restoration.
I see counseling as a privilege to be invited into someone's pain and fears, and to accompany them in discovering new ways to more hope, self-acceptance, and joy in life.
Given the right environment, people can grow to their fullest potential. Plants thrive with proper nurture and tender care - and so do we. Sometimes that includes having a comforting presence and an understanding heart. In counseling, I want to empower you to heal, grow, change, and come alive into the fullness of who you are.

Values & therapy Approach
I value authenticity, compassion, and non-judgmental curiosity. All sessions are ethical, client-focused and research-based.
As someone who has sat in the client's seat, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to see a therapist. That is why I'm passionate about building a safe and trusting relationship with you to unravel past burdens and explore new ways to face your challenges. Relational wounds can be healed in safe relationships.
With a decade of experience working with people from diverse ages and backgrounds, I've learned that a crucial element to growth is having someone who genuinely believes in your capacity for change. There are two experts in every counselling room. You have what it takes to move forward, and I am committed to helping you do that.
Drawing from multiple methodologies to fit diverse needs, I aim to cultivate a collaborative and empathetic environment for healing, exploration, and change.
Present tools I utilize are predominately from:
Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT)
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
Internal-family systems model (IFS)
Acceptance-and-commitment therapy (ACT)
As an EMDR-trained clinician, I can support clients looking to receive help in reprocessing traumatic experiences. I am also qualified to facilitate Prepare/Enrich for couples looking to enhance their relationships.
I have worked with young adults, working professionals, refugees, and asylum seekers both individually and in group settings in my practice. In my previous teaching profession, I worked closely with families and children from ages 2-18 years old. I am comfortable working with different ages and cultural backgrounds and can conduct sessions in both English and Cantonese.

"I had the privilege of seeing Michelle during her time as a counseling intern. At that point in my life, I felt overwhelmed by the challenges of caring for my aging parents, facing physical sickness, and having communication barriers with my spouse. Michelle provided invaluable support in helping me process my emotions. She introduced me to tools that significantly helped me calm down more quickly and better understand my emotions, I highly recommend Michelle for anyone seeking counseling support." - Mrs T.
